  2. Day Pass (Day 2 Only)

    • Description: This pass is for those who wish to join only on the second day at 0500hrs. to experience the core activities such as sport fishing, bird watching, and tree planting, without the overnight camping experience. Day pass holders can join the group early on Day 2 at Lake Ellis.
    • Price:
      • Kenyan Citizens: KES 10,000
      • Foreign Nationals: KES 15,000
    • Includes: Access to Day 2 activities, lunch, refreshments, and participation in the fishing tournament and bird watching. Transportation and camping arrangements are not included.

Fees and Inclusions for the Weekend Pass

The Weekend Pass registration fee provides participants with access to a range of inclusions and amenities, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable experience:

  • Entry to All Activities: Full access to all activities scheduled for both days, including sport fishing, bird watching, tree planting, and the bonfire gathering.
  • Gate Pass: The fee includes a gate pass to the Mt. Kenya National Park and Lake Ellis area, providing entry to the protected parklands.
  • Round-Trip Transport: Transportation from Nairobi (National Museums of Kenya HQ) to Lake Ellis and back is covered, allowing participants to relax and enjoy the scenic drive.
  • Meals and Refreshments:
    • Day 1: Lunch, dinner and evening refreshments at the campsite.
    • Day 2: Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments during activities.
    • Additional: Clean drinking water and light refreshments will be provided throughout both days.
  • Camping and Equipment: Access to designated camping areas near Lake Ellis with basic facilities, including restrooms and a communal dining area. Participants should bring their own tents, sleeping gear, and camping supplies.
  • Fishing Tournament Registration: The fee includes registration for the sport fishing tournament, which features a catch-and-release policy. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear suitable for highland lake fishing.
  • Bird Watching: Access to a guided bird-watching session with experts familiar with the region’s diverse birdlife, allowing attendees to spot and learn about notable species in the area.
  • Tree Planting: Participation in the tree-planting session as part of the event’s conservation efforts. Each participant will have an opportunity to plant indigenous trees, contributing to reforestation and ecosystem preservation.
